Cebu Pacific increases corporate business by more than 300%
The number of companies holding corporate accounts with Cebu Pacific (CEB) increased by more than 300% as of end-October 2006 compared to the year-ending December 2005. The growth can be attributed to CEB’s year-round low fares, growing network, all-new Airbus fleet and high quality service offering.
Edwin Bautista, CEB’s head of sales, said “Aside from the lowest fares, having the most domestic flights to the most domestic destinations gives great flexibility for the corporate flyer. In addition we have the country’s newest fleet with a fleet age of less than 9 months, which once again makes our corporate offering very competitive and attractive,” Bautista said.
CEB has continued to develop its corporate product and is offering credit lines to major public and private accounts, express check-in counters in major cities and flight connections nationwide. This will enable companies to take advantage of CEB’s large domestic network and high quality, value for money offering.
“We’re seeing a change in the needs of the business traveler, where business travel no longer means flying business class. Nowadays, we see that companies are becoming more practical and value conscious. Many savvy CEO’s & CFO’s in both the public and private sector are realizing that a real easy way to improve the bottom line or to stretch the budget further is to travel with CEB.”
He continued, “Many companies both large and small are realizing that for a flight of an hour or two business class perks really don’t deliver good value for money. We think that most people find it difficult to watch a feature length film on a flight to the Visayas or Mindanao.” Bautista added.
Bautista emphasized that apart from offering the lowest fares, CEB also has the most domestic destinations, flights and routes than any other domestic airline, making CEB the leading domestic carrier in the country today.
Now in its 11th year, CEB has the newest fleet in the Philippines and one of the newest in Asia as it operates 12 brand new Airbus aircraft to its 20 domestic and 6 regional destinations. The airline awaits the delivery of two more Airbus aircraft in early 2007 to complete its $670 million re-fleeting program.
